Pros

SaaS, Cloud fast growing company free snacks a lot of parking convenient location

Cons

Playing politics at all levels. I was working in digital marketing team. In two weeks after onboarding I started hesitating in my decision to accept the offer. I was working as a contractor. Sr managers will immediately tell you they want to hire you because you are so so good. However, they do not mean that. Do you really think two weeks enough to conclude it? They just want you to work as crazy and devote all your time to the project. You will work extra hours. I do not mind working extra hours. However, no need to lie. They give you a hope without any intent to do so. All team members are competitors to each other. That is an explanation of gossips in the company. The environment is highly competitive. I was new to the team and team members were complaining about each other all the time. Even though they are not direct competitors to each other in terms of their responsibilities. Politics all the time. You may not know what other team members complain about you and you will not have a chance to explain yourself. It doesn't matter whether it is true or not. They would prefer to kiss the butt than building a team. Turnover is very high. In digital marketing team for a year 29 contractors went through the team. Senior managers would prefer to hire 3 interns, but not hiring a manager. My Sr manager told me they did not need my ideas for marketing, i had to do everything they would tell me. In marketing?!! They do not need my ideas?!?! Why then my ideas went live? Plagiarism? Yes. You do the work. They put their name on it. The company values only Sr Managers.

Pros

ServiceNow had a differentiated platform and products. Early on the culture had a startup energy that was rare for a company this size collaborative teams, ownership, and a sense that people actually cared about outcomes. Working with large enterprise customers on complex workflows was interesting work.

Cons

The ServiceNow I joined was a different company. As headcount increased, so did the bureaucracy, layers, and friction that rewarded politics over execution. The layoffs of the last few years were handled poorly little transparency, inconsistent communication, and decisions that felt made far above with little thought for the people affected. The "cost optimization" messaging rang hollow against continued executive spending. For a company that sells workflow and people process tools, the irony of a chaotic RIF wasn't lost on anyone in the field or on customers. Leadership political dynamics were real. The right team, the right manager you had cover. Performance alone didn't protect you.
