Whether you're hired as a Manager, Trainer, or CSR basically the company is looking for glorified cleaners / maids - Customer Service Representative Planet Fitness Employee Review

Pros

Basically this is a job anyone can get in a pinch. I cannot advise that anyone really stay long-term. Good for high schoool and college kids who need a flexible schedule and have not yet set on their career paths.

Cons

Beware of the bait and switch when you're hired. Regardless of what they tell you, you're expected to be a janitor / maid first and foremost. Regardless of title, whether you're hired as a Manager, a Personal Trainer, or what they call a "Customer Service Rep" it has been emphasized by corporate (non gym personnel) regional and senior management that the primary purpose of your employment will be to keep the gym clean. So regardless of what your skill set is or your title, you're expected to be armed with a bucket, a spray bottle, paper towels, basically on your hands and knees cleaning the machines, toilets, windows, and bathrooms for the vast majority...and I mean 95% of your day.
