Pros

Great location in The Rocks, Sydney. Deal with new and emerging technologies.

Cons

I was at the company for 13 years. The culture used to be awesome but then they changed CEO's (at a regional level) and a few other senior management positions. The focus went from being an inclusive, everyone-is-valued, family-style culture into a very aggressive sales-focused company that stopped caring for its employees and only cared about revenue and profits. Sure, all companies should care about profits but without a happy and engaged workforce, you've got no chance. People left the company in droves. They have since reinstated the former regional CEO, Steve Nola, so hopefully he can unravel the mess.

Pros

I have worked with NTT DATA as a government IT and project management consultant since 2018, starting with Cognosante before the acquisition. My experience has been very positive. I have had the autonomy to focus on the success of my team and my client, while also having the support of a large, high-performing organization. There are real opportunities for growth, strong training resources, and leaders who genuinely care about employees, clients, and the communities they serve. I have also been promoted during my time here, which reflects the company’s commitment to recognizing and developing talent.

Cons

As with many large organizations, processes and systems and can sometimes take time to navigate, especially during periods of growth or transition. Continued focus on communication and simplifying internal processes would make the employee experience even stronger.

Pros

- Strong global presence allows for diverse projects, clients, and opportunities - Enabled and encouraged to learn new technologies, use tools, and grow skills - Generally supportive teams and cross collaboration - Great work-life balance in many roles

Cons

- Compensation and raises can be slow, infrequency, and below market - Personal Development review process can be unclear and slow - Processes and decision making around them can feel very outdated, there seems to be a lack of structure and clarity around many HR and business operations areas - Very little employee recognition - Critical benefits information isn’t distributed well and there is zero follow up actions to ensure we have all important access/accounts set up
