Pros

Micron Singapore tries to encourage decent work life balance. Micron empowers employees on calling out safety concerns. There are several areas of engineering to explore and job transfers internally can be done to learn different aspects of a manufacturing plant.

Cons

There is sadly no true ownership of the process or hardware. The engineer's role is to mostly validate the work of OEM Vendors without really making an impact on crucial engineering decisions. Original daily work isn't appreciated and the emphasis is more on innovation which might not necessarily be their own work but might be paraphrasing the Vendors solutions as their own.

Pros

Decent pay, great stock grants and stock purchase plan. You can be at the forefront of memory technology driving today's AI megaboom, and benefit from the high demand (i.e. soaring stock price).

Cons

Little sense of community, lifeless office environment, dead-eyed and overworked employees. "Flexible work arrangements" in name only, as recent policy changes have significantly reduced effectiveness especially if you have a long commute or family life. Too much emphasis on unimportant buzz such as embracing diversity and inclusion is just annoying, but par for the course in today's big tech industry.
