Pros

Pay is good, as long as you can sell, otherwise you will starve. You get an hour during your shift to work out (as long as your manager isn't in a bad mood) It is a fun job (as long as your manager isn't in a bad mood) Free gym membership at the best gym around Working there encourages you to live healthier Great place to network

Cons

They will work you to the bone, always 'strongly suggesting,' that you come in on your day off, even if you are hitting your personal numbers. If your "team," hasn't hit their numbers, you will be forced to stay until midnight to try and hit your team goal, even though there is no individual incentive or bonus for your team hitting and even if you've already hit your personal goal They want a team atmosphere and base everything on 'wins/losses,' which is typical in retail sales, however they promote a cut-throat environment within the sales team. From my experience they promote less intelligent individuals that lack the ability to think outside of the box, so that they can be easily manipulated and stay on the beaten path. Overall, this company on a grand scale is a great company to work for. However, there is a very high turnover in the sales department, and with good reason. They will take advantage of you any way that they can and make you work ridiculous hours; the money is great, but when you divide your monthly income by the hours that you actually work, the dividends are not that great and it is very high stress! To be honest, if it hadn't been for my sales manager, I probably would have loved my job. My manager was extremely lazy and not very intelligent at all. He got away with it somehow, even though it was blatantly obvious that he was not doing his job and was only hitting his numbers because our sales team was very skilled. He had no spine and would brush problems under the rug instead of addressing them and making a decision, which caused a lot of friction within the sales team. He would constantly show up very late for his shifts, but would ride your ass if you were late at all. This was brought to the attention of the GM and Regional Manager by multiple people and nothing was ever done about it.

Pros

Great healthy way of life promoted to employees as part of goals and balance of work with life. Flexible time off with mixture of paid time off.

Cons

Does not recognize federal holidays - not a bank - so use personal celebration days to take time off when requested.

Pros

Members are great and free membership is a perk. Coworkers are supportive.

Cons

You will be micromanaged to death, whether you have three weeks of experience or 20 years. Policies are vague. Communication with leadership is poor. You can be a strong, experienced performer and have very few classes, or brand new and get 8 a week. There appears to be no logic or strategy to anything that happens.
