Pros

Marble Counter-Tops. Most of the State of the Art fitness toys. Surrounded by sexy marketing. Attracts high talent and passion from the job market.

Cons

Despite their marketing (and even the beliefs of their employees), Life Time Fitness is a REAL ESTATE DEVELOPING COMPANY -- NOT a Health and Fitness company. (See final paragraphs of the Star Tribune 's article on the Lifetime's purchase from public to private) and this fact is reflected through every level of the company. The sole focus of the company is to expand the number of buildings nationwide and acquire and keep enough members to turn a profit and keep the lights on. Not truly invested in the betterment or elevation of "the Training market" or even better American (or Canadian) health outcomes. Ridiculous pressure to meet monthly sales quotas without eyes for the future. It's all about the monthly "WIN" rather than the long-term success of each club. Dishonest and illegal payroll practices (Google "class action payroll lawsuits, Life Time Fitness). Terrible benefits for a "Health" company Non-existent work/life balance exemplified in overweight, energy-drink addicted management and corporate team who do not practice what the company purports to preach to its members. Terrible familial regard -- you won't be spending much time with your spouse or children working for this company. Regularly demands specific actions taken on the company's behalf even encompassing workers' personal social media platforms. Basically, it was a great place to build a resume, but as soon as you have a family, forget working here if married, a committed parent, or want to have friends/influence outside of the company's circles.

Pros

Free Membership Cool employees Discounts on services

Cons

They don’t pay anything, and the CEO should honestly be ashamed. If employees were paid properly, there wouldn’t be so much drama and tension in the workplace. Communication is terrible because management doesn’t even seem to care — probably because they’re getting crumbs too. Spa management was dreadful, and the demotion was necessary. How do you fail to have people booked during major holidays when the money and clientele are clearly there? There was no structure, no leadership, and no motivation for employees to succeed. Having a successful spa for 3 years and coming into this environment I was not impressed. No growth, no support, no appreciation. Loved the members tho! And S/O to Leemar, Virgil and Dr. Hayden love them down!
