Pros
Ability to do the job how you want with little supervision. The employee is provided with clients with a flexible schedule instead of having to find your own clients. Very competitive pay for master trainer.
Cons
Trainers are not always given enough clients by sales associates to make a good living. The pay is based solely on commission with no benefits (you only get paid when you train a client). When starting out in entry level as certified personal trainer, the pay is extremely low.
