Pros

Cannot think of anything honestly

Cons

The list is really long, but here are some of them: - poorly paid - no real benefits, unless you live in the US - management is utterly useless, they have no idea of what their teams actually do, what they have to deal with and they simply don't care. - HR is rude and incompetent. Sexual harassment is rampant and nothing will happen if you report it... ah, no, actually it will: they'll change his seating and have him sit right next to you. - nepotism is the only way you'll get anywhere - micromanaging about everything, including how often and how long you spend in the bathroom - no balance of workload, you either do nothing or you are drowning, and funnily enough, those who do nothing all day are paid more. - you'll be reminded quarterly about how much the company makes and how well they are doing, but you'll get no bonus, it's more likely that they will announce mass layoffs (which happened in 2024) - they'll blame anything of the employee, even things that the employee has no control over, like accuracy of sick leaves. They won't do anything to make sure this doesn't happen again and again and you'll be without full paycheck multiple times a year. They'll say it's your fault, despite having communicated everything correctly to the doctor and not having any real way of knowing whether you'll get 1/3 of your paycheck, until you get it. The list of negative is really extremely wrong

Pros

Good pay, supportive manager, and genuinely pleasant colleagues.

Cons

Frequent reorgs and shifting strategic direction made it difficult to build momentum or plan long‑term. Over time, contractor roles became increasingly narrow and production‑focused, which limited opportunities for meaningful skill development. Responsibilities that originally included project management were reduced to primarily email production work. There’s also a broader corporate pattern where work is expected to be completed exactly as written, with little room for judgment or improvement. Even small, quick optimizations can lead to pushback rather than appreciation, creating an environment where going “above and beyond” requires multiple layers of approval — which defeats the purpose of being proactive in the first place. Finally, there’s an in‑office expectation (less strict than for full‑time employees, but still present) for work that can be done entirely remotely. This tends to benefit highly social personalities, but for those who prefer focused, independent work, it feels unnecessary. Social dynamics also play a noticeable role; if you’re not immediately well‑liked or you make a single early mistake, it can create a self‑fulfilling perception that’s difficult to overcome.
