Pros

Free meal everyday, great co workers and supervision who are underpaid. Decent schedule if you say so.

Cons

First few paid periods are a check which you won’t find out till you start. Was told the position was for full time but was given part time. 30 min unpaid break but there’s never a moment to take 15min paid breaks because you’re always given something to do on down time. Onboarding was a mess, mgmt in other store were unaware of orientation day at their store. It’s once again another production machine that makes believe you can grow there but every employee there just looks sad and drained. Granted the company’s net worth is 200 million and took a hit because well we know why (look it up). I just can’t fathom how you expect employees to come in and hit the ground rolling when your structure is completely imbalanced and all over the place.

Pros

Like any restaurant job, the only pro is meeting cool people.

Cons

- YOU pay your own parking. $10 a day if you work 3 days, if more its $120 out of your paycheck a month to park in employee parking (and you will get moved to a much further parking structure during events like Restaurant Week or any holidays, so what are you even paying for?) - Hosts get the smallest percentage of POOLED tips. - Expectations of responsibilities are not reflected in pay - Horrible communication from other departments about events, Hosts are expected to know everything going on in the Eataly store and how it will effect restaurant service with minimal communication. Overall, just not worth it.
