Pros

Paycheck doesn't bounce. I currently have no manager.

Cons

Nothing beyond the grind. No raises, no bonuses, no [real] training. Just more and more corp horsesh*. Over the past couple years tons of my former coworkers have jumped ship to other cos. I am working on doing that myself. No future here.

Pros

Decent Pay, Flexible work schedule, Lots of overtime, easy work, unlimited flex vacation days up to 2 weeks at a time (with manager approval).

Cons

Overtime is mandatory and was increasing all the time. It is ok if you don't have kids, spouse or pets. Immediate managers were ok, but corporate was out of touch and did not seem to care about employees. Went through three company split/mergers and changes happen really fast, Information not readily available to help adjust to changes. You are clocked in my position from the moment you clock in until you leave. All breaks and idle time were clocked on system for data entry, which were impossible to attain.

Circling the drain in oh-so-many ways

Pros

Despite redundancies, there are still opportunities to work alongside some really great people.

Cons

Repeated rounds of redundancy mean that nobody ever really feels safe in their job. As a result of these, the workforce has been reduced to the point where certain people with niche skills are stretched so thin that they're unable to do their jobs effectively. In some cases, we've got rid of entire support teams for technologies that are still in use on customer accounts. I've not had a pay rise in the whole time I've been with either DXC or its predecessors, and I'm certainly not alone in this. The whole culture is underpinned by the message that we must cut costs, with absolutely no consideration of the impact on the people who have to continue to deliver services without the resources to do so.
