Beautiful on the outside, but a mess on the inside!

Pros

The salary was competitive, the clothing allowance was nice but the clothes are so expensive you can't really take advantage of it. The free fruit daily and lunch on Fridays were a nice touch.

Cons

Operations in the Americas were a mess. Vendors weren't paid, lights were being turned off at the stores due to unpaid invoices and there always seemed to be a major disconnect between the Americas and the UK

Pros

Dynamic and opens opportunities if person is competitive, skilled and hard working. Benefits are OK, I am manager level, and very much satisfied with career. As my role is in technology close to projects with new stores it requires lots of travel, which is, at the moment, something that suits me. It gets you to meet different people and cultures.

Cons

It is very hierarchical. Your job can go from hell to heaven just based on whom are you reporting to. Sometimes it is not clear what is the path in your career. Too many decisions are made in UK, even some trivial that should be regional.

Pros

Luxury brand with first access to their fashion shows. Great discount and staffwear perks. Deep immersion into the financial and fashion aspects of the business. Excellent opportunity to work in a cooperative environment with other merchants.

Cons

Luch al' desko is the only way to get a bite in during the day since nobody takes their alloted 1hr lunch. The "40hr" work week is really more of a 50hr week (higher levels often work weekends as well). Strict company policy prohibits personal effects in the office environment. Open office layout offers no privacy and only a few inches between you and coworkers.
