Pros

Innovative brand that uses their own technological platform which can bring staff members and departments from all over the world together with a simple click. It is also used to develop your knowledge of; products, company policies and customer value management giving you the opportunity to acquire information and always be up to date on all areas of the brand. Also online sale option (Burberry.com) means that you never miss a sale for not physically having stock in the store itself as it can be delivered from the warehouse in 48 hours = increased individual commission. 1% commission for in store sales 2% commission for online sales

Cons

Low base wage and backstabbing senior management who smile to your face and then speak badly about you behind your back, I particularly found the general managers to be extremely rude and disrespectful to other lower ranking staff members. Constant pressure from management to achieve unrealistic KPIs and sales targets, little individual encouragement as teams are enormous and there are "clicks" of favorites. Aggressive sales associates that almost attack potential customers (especially the Chinese or Arabic customers upon entering the store) and ignore others due to the low base wage + individual commissions.

Pros

Great and skilled teams, friendly environment, great benefits such as free lunches and summer hours, good training opportunities and internal moves

Cons

Sometimes a bit too much politics and hierarchy and retail needs to be more valued as this drives the business essentially

Pros

A lot of great people to work with. The salary and benefits are very competitive for a retail company. Good work life balance. Great location for the head office.

Cons

No clear performance management or criteria to meet in order to get promotion. Seems to be based on who you know and how much your manager likes you. There is no salary banding at each level so there are big salary gaps between similar roles depending on when a person was hired or the team.
