Pros

Great salary compared to competitors in this role

Cons

Long hours as is most retail jobs. WAY too many "manager roles" in store! Senior sales, supervisors, floor manager ,department manger, it's all ridiculous! Your title can get ripped away from you in a blink of an eye, people are almost tricked into a position wit more responsibility and promised things and they go back on their word. Double standards when it comes to uniform, blazers are NOT practical for makeup artists! You cant wear almost half of the cosmetics range when in the shop floor ,everything is "plain face Jane" ,no red/pink lips ,nails have to be super short and square with almost nothing on them, yet they expect your personality to shine through somehow..it's depressing.

Pros

Great people and culture, lovely CEO and nice offices and location. Also good perks with discount, sample sale access and free lunches.

Cons

Can be very hierarchical and progression is extremely difficult even for high performers. Social aspect is minimal and budgets are very tight on anything people focussed. Leadership don't really listen to the front liners and this causes a lot of issues.
