Pros

The work can be interesting, and there were some colleagues who I really developed close friendships with. having it on my CV did get my my latest role, granted. Which I love. But... yeah, just be prepared for some hurt. And I do think they company will do well. They are very good at making money from customers - and have a strong brand. Usually fashion brands make most money from people who can't afford the clothes (it is science, read up). But Burberry do position themselves well in higher net-worth segments, especially APAC areas

Cons

Nepotism and bad ethics pretty much sums it up. There is a very real reason this company scores below 4 stars on here. Let's get this clear: - Great on diversity. Plenty of diversity in cleaners.... - Bad managers. Really. - You are unlikely to have career opportunities. Unless you were born into the right connections - Hours I could tolerate... But yeah, they are long. - The customer is to be milked. - You will love it if you enjoy seeing colleagues get bullied to tears. Toxic to say the least - Sounds harsh, but many seniors are really incompetent. I don't mean that as a mean comment, but they actually are... I think too many watched "Devil Wears Prada" and became overexcited - My colleague joked the company is run on Excel. They aren't far wrong, its pretty dated.

Pros

Summer Fridays are the only pro.

Cons

The company is incredibly corporate however entirely disorganised, so nothing ever succeeds and all efforts and work feels pointless most of the time. There is no alignment between departments so if anything is ever a success it's a miracle. There is a strange ego based hirearchy, which comes from a selection of over paid individuals who put more emphasis on their own needs, rather than their teams and business needs. There is a false sense of support that is ushered from the HR department. This in regard to emotional wellbeing, diversity & inclusitivity, which feels insincere. The office is a toxic environment, which comes from the top, through all levels creating an unpleasant environment. Do not work here.
