Pros

Being owned by large and prestigious companies, Accenture and Microsoft, at Avanade there is a strong, collaborative culture that everyone is willing to help each other out, despite if you a new analyst, or a Sr. Director who's been there for over 10 years. You control your own career and the pace of where you want to go with guidance if you need it.

Cons

At times work/life balance can be difficult, it comes with the consulting lifestyle and is something you must be willing to compromise with at times.

Pros

There is always something new to work on. You will have the opportunity to rotate through many different industries and technologies. Your peers will always encourage you to grow, learn, and challenge each other. Development teams that I have worked in the past are always enthusiastic and demonstrate a passion for the technology they are working on. The company as a whole stresses training and development in all aspects of software consulting, not just the technical side. The extended benefits that all the service line consultants receive are one of the best contested privileges in the IT world.

Cons

Some of the assignments are remote work but not all, and this sometimes requires you to be an efficient time manager. You will be required to travel for other assignments for extended periods of time, and while I personally enjoyed traveling, there were some peers that would opt out of project assignments that would require traveling.
