Pros

Very impressive colleagues with academic and consultancy backgrounds who are able to collaborate well. Supportive management (depending on the team, but my experience has been very positive.) Sign-on bonus Data focus and progressive approach to work.

Cons

If you are close to the operations side of the business you’re likely to be buffeted by the pressures of seasonal peaks. In these times, proactive thinking and personal development are overlooked while the focus is on the operational metrics and delivery. Hiring freeze at the moment. Some areas (such as recruitment) have very few opportunities for progression to the next level and the internal competition is high. (This is less of an issue in broader disciplines such as Data Engineering or broader HR.)
