Pros

Surrounded by smart, driven coworkers, who are motivated by the large scale/scope work of improving Amazon customer experiences. You'll learn from everyone around you. Analytical skills and writing skills are valued. You're empowered to experiment, take risks.

Cons

Amazon is messy, a start up that grew very quickly (too quickly?). Some internal systems were not designed for the scale of that they are now used for, so seemingly simple tasks can be time consuming. I expected the fundamental internal processes/systems to be well oiled machines before I started working here. They are not. That can be frustrating for some but also an opportunity to innovate. You must be comfortable working in ambiguity to be happy here.
