      Pros

      I was working in Absa as a Senior Data Engineer. I was so surprised by how the company is taking care of its employees, has a solid open-source projects portfolio, and how skilled people are within. Absa can be proud of their team. Apart from these, there are things which I really like and value: 1. Possibility to dedicate some time to contribute to open-source projects, learn new things from passing various courses, etc. 2. Very supportive and professional principal engineers, which are willing to help, and teach you 3. No deadlines pressure, very flexible working day, and no micromanagement 4. Fully remote

      Cons

      Due to a big amount of not IT people, a lot of inefficiencies happening in the company processes. Also big level of manual work is involved. Security policies are very strict. Remote work was a bit not adopted for employees living far from Prague.
