Interview questions [1]
Question 1
For the Chronological Interview: You should prepare yourself by exploring every facet of your professional life up until today, emphasizing strengths, weaknesses, job expectations, and job contributions throughout your career. Questions will begin very early during the education days and will cover every job, every success, every win, and every failure. You should also be prepared to talk about your managers and teams over the years and the way you've partnered with each of them throughout your career. It’s very important to think ahead, prepare, and answer directly while discussing your strengths and weaknesses. Managers are assessing your self-awareness and honesty as well as looking for patterns and trends in your career. They are also assessing how you handle stressful situations, how you read/control the room, and your storytelling skills. Remember to ask thoughtful, strategic questions to the team.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Slack in Mar 2021
Interview
3 interviews + recruiter. 3rd round is a panel Presentation with 2-3 leaders. You will be asked to present a deck which you create based on the criteria they give you. The scenario is a sales pitch/ pricing to a pretend customer
My interviewing manager was rude, and an overall poor interviewer. He jumped around very randomly and was unable to properly clarify any of his questions. It seemed like he was very unprepared.
