Interview
Absolutely outstanding process. Everyone involved was top-flight, very responsive. I especially appreciated the initial tech screen - it was an un-timed take-home test that amounted to "do a code review of a change request written by a junior engineer". That really took the stress away and let me demonstrate actual day-to-day skills, not LeetCode "aha" moments in 30 minutes or less.

Question 1
Review a large CL by a junior engineer. Untimed take-home. Given a .tar.gz file containing design docs, diagrams, and the code for a very small backend server, add features and relevant tests. Timed. Pretty normal behavioral round. System design question about a recent feature the interviewer had thought about adding in their backend.

Interview
There were both casual and analytical interviews. Aside from the hiring manager, I also met with the local leaders the role would closely work with on a panel interview. Total of 5 interviews.
