Interview
Three step interview process. It was very thorough but pleasant from start to finish. You have to pass the writing assignment before you get a phone interview. Someone from recruiting will then contact you based on how well you do on the writing assignment.

Interview
The interview process was really good. I was kept informed by my POC in HR about how the process was going and what would be the next steps, at all time.
It was a very pleasant process and I felt very conformable and welcome during the process.
The process consisted in the following:
One call with HR
One call with a Hiring Manager
Written test
On site interviews (3) plus an additional written test at the office

Interview
Long and confusing onsite interview process!
1. I was phone screened first by a recruiter from San Fran. He was on the ball, and setup interviews on tight timeline as I was leaving for holidays.
2. It was followed by a coding challenge, the deadline was roughly a week. I managed to do it in 4 days.
3. It was followed by a phone screening by a technical hiring manager.
4. I was invited for an onsite interview at the Melbourne office (on the day I was flying out for holidays.) In hindsight, I should have chosen a day after my holidays.
It was all smooth until the onsite interview. The process at the Melbourne office was laborious., panel after panel! I was a little disappointed in that none of the panel members had seen my code submission even though I was told that I would be quizzed based on my submission and a few technical ones.
The "technical" questions were trivial and sounded like a junior level sysadmin interview. As I walked out the door, I was sure enough I had the job but it was followed by the usual rejection email. "...thank you meeting us, we enjoyed speaking to you... "
I would have expected them to feedback me on my performance especially when one has The engineering manager though at the end mentioned that he was impressed with my submission, although I only had about 5 minutes of meeting with him.
