Interview
Phone interview for a Graduate position.
After applying online I was contacted one month later for a phone interview.
The interview was conducted as described on their website using the C.A.R.T. criteria (capacity, achievement, relationship, technical skills).
The interview lasted 45 minutes.
The first part was a quick background check. They wanted to make sure I was interested by the job and willing to live in UK. I had to describe briefly my project.
The second part was competency-based questions and behavioural interview (had to use CART). I had to describe my projects, a situation where I had a problem with my colleagues, a situation where I had a technical problem and what was my input.
In the last part I had to choose between several subjects and discuss one of them as if I was CEO of Shell:
Global standardisation with global needs, meeting the world global energy needs while protecting the environment, Innovation and technologies. I advise to go check on their website all the ideas are there.
After that I was invited for a recruitment day two months later.
