Not very difficult, but you have to be prepared. Networks do not matter, the most important thing is loving your job and being prepared to answer the questions. Overall not a bad experience.

Why i wanted to work as a nurse? How i would describe myself
Firstly was asked to tell the panel about myself. Then I was asked how I have managed competing priorities. I was asked what I would do if my band 2 told me that the case notes weren't prepared for a clinic the next day at and it was the end of the working day. I was asked about strengths and weaknesses.
I applied online. I interviewed at NHS (Basildon, East of England, England) in May 2026
Interview
Online application then interview. Short test based on RTT rules and 15 minute interview with basic competency questions. It was very relaxed and was about 10 competency questions in total.
