I had a 1-hour technical interview with a panel of three interviewers. The atmosphere was friendly and conversational. The interview did not dive deep into architecture or highly technical troubleshooting. Instead, it mainly focused on conceptual questions related to Microsoft 365 / Office 365 products and how the different services work together.

I applied online. I interviewed at Microsoft in Oct 2025
Interview
From the day of the initial screening call, when the recruiter told me they wanted to schedule an interview, until the day of my actual interview was over a month. The recruiter was completely unresponsive to emails during this time and only reached out a few days before the date we ultimately selected for an interview. The interview itself was two parts, totalling two hours. The first part was personality-centric with two managers. This part focused primarily on situational questions and customer/peer interactions. The second part was technical with two peers and included specific situations with examples to review and respond to.
Since this interview, four weeks have passed again with zero communication from the recruiter despite multiple follow-up messages. It is completely unprofessional to just leave candidates in the "Interview" state and not respond to their messages.
