I recently interviewed for the Senior Digital Marketing Analyst position at Micron. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing and unprofessional. The interviewer appeared disengaged throughout the call — he seemed distracted, even half-asleep at times — and the conversation focused very little on my actual skills or project experience.
I expected questions related to marketing analytics, attribution modeling, or cloud data integration (as mentioned in the job description). Instead, I encountered vague and irrelevant prompts, with little understanding of the technical tools required for the role. Micron’s stated commitment to diversity and inclusion did not reflect in this interview experience. I hope the HR team ensures interviewers are properly trained to evaluate candidates based on skill and professionalism, not background or accent.
