I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Meta in Aug 2023
Interview
Recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn (sourcing), although, I actually had applied for that specific role. Anyways, had the first phone call for recruiter screen. Heard back same day asking for my availability to schedule next steps. Next steps were scheduled for a week later, it was two 45 minutes interviews, one covering Product Sense and one covering Product Execution
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
* Product Sense: Should Meta add a product for Museums & their visitors * Product Execution: What should be the goal for Meta pay? What should be the metric? What the engineering team should focus on building next? # of dollars sent using Meta pay went down, why?
I applied online. I interviewed at Meta (Palo Alto, CA) in Jun 2023
Interview
I had two phone interviews, one with HR and another with a product manager. The HR interview focused on my background and some behavioural questions, while the phone interview with the PM focused on product sense. Overall, I found both interviews normal, even though the HR felt a bit like they had a lot to go through. I had three onsite interviews, lasting about 45 minutes each. All three interviewers were great and tried their best to make me comfortable.

Question 1
Some of the interview questions I got were 1. Design a social events discovery and curation app for Facebook 2. Facebook events dropped by 30%, how will you revamp it? 3. How will you monetize WhatsApp? 4. How do you earn the trust of your team? For interview preparation, I used a combination of resources. I watched a lot of free videos from Exponent on youtube and invested in Product Alliance’s Flagship meta course. Overall, I think the course was a good investment because of the deep dive they did on Meta. I also reached out to a couple of PMs on LinkedIn and one was kind enough to help do a mock trial at no cost. Overall, my interviewing experience was great, Meta tried their best to be transparent with every step of the process so that really helped.
Two rounds of three interviews, behavioral, execution, product strategy. The behavioral questions were standard and asked about specific instances where I overcame a difficulty or had to give feedback to a colleague. Execution is focused on setting goals and measuring success. Product strategy is on designing a product.
