I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Massage Envy (Scottsdale, AZ)
Interview
I liked the atmosphere at the Massage Envy corporate office and the interviewing process was pretty standard. It was a brand new position that they never had before and I felt like they weren't exactly sure on who or what they wanted. I went through multiple interviews and did get a better understanding of the company and brand. It was definitely a company I saw myself working at.
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Massage Envy (Frankfort, IL) in Sep 2013
Interview
I applied online, and the following day received a notification for an interview. As soon as I stepped into the office, I felt very relax mainly because of the aromatherapy. I was offered to sit down and fill out some documents before the manager decided to skip that and just interview me. They told me the position was based mostly on sales where I had to memorized a full script which I did not like at all. I was more focused on the over health and helping people achieve that not selling membership. I never got a call back, and I was grateful! This position didn't match my interest and goals!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The most difficult and unexpected question was how I handles a disgruntled customer, and I never experienced that before within my employment history.
I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Massage Envy
Interview
Very unprofessional. Interviewer was late to the meeting. Managers and staff did not get along. Seemed to be a very competitive working atmosphere, and the therapist all seemed hostile to each other. They are mainly looking for people who can constant do deep tissue, that is actually one of the ways you get a raise, the majority of your massages have to be deep tissue. Probably a good place for someone that needs experience, but I can imagine that therapist get burned out quickly when working here.
