I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at LA Fitness in Feb 2012
Interview
I started in membership sales and was promoted due to good performance. Initially I was told that myself and another employee were going to compete for this position and that whoever had better numbers would get the position. After the date that they set forth for us, I had better numbers. I was told that in order to get the position, I would have to do even better and it might be a while until I do get promoted. This is the type of game that this company plays.

Question 1
There were no questions or anything of the sort. There wasn't even an interview. I was involved in a competition and at the conclusion, I was told that I would be promoted if my numbers were better than my peer's.
Multiple phone calls, along with bringing certain documentation such as driver's ID, birth certificate, certifications, etc. It helps to be prepared. The certification or certifications are a must, they are required for you to be within the conversation. Pick an institution that is accredited such as ACE, NASM, etc. It helps to do some research, at least anyway.

Question 1
Wanted to be shown through a workout for 30 minutes.
Applied online, got a panel interview. Bring a resume. Lots of questions about past experiences. Talked about job. Said we will contact you by "x" day. Never received a call. Called for a whole week before I was told by a WORKER that I was not hired. Extremely unprofessional.
