I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Indeed
Interview
Recruiter reached out to me after applying and we had a nice conversation. I was asked to meet with a team member virtually for a first interview and thought we had a really good conversation, but a week and a half later the recruiter informed me they were moving forward with a more experienced candidate. Team seemed great and I got the sense that Indeed really walks the walk when it comes to the candidate and employee experience. The process was transparent and the recruiter let me know I wasn’t moving on by calling me personally vs. sending a form email. I appreciated that! If I were to find myself looking again in the future, I wouldn’t hesitate to reapply to Indeed.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Indeed in Dec 2021
Interview
I was referred by an internal employee and was contacted by the “Inside Indeed Talent” team - Scheduled a 25 interview with one of their recruiters. As far as the process, everything was pretty standard.
The negative part was really my experience with the interviewer. To start the interviewer was about 8
minutes late to the call. While the interviewer was professional and clear and set expectations as to how the call would go, the whole conversation was really robotic as if the interviewer was just going through the motions - not very engaging or seemingly even disinterest in conducting the interview. The interview ended pretty shortly after a couple of standard questions. The whole interview lasted probably about 20 minutes (including the almost 8 minutes of tardiness).
Surprisingly disappointed with the experience - Perhaps if it was another interviewer I would feel differently.

Talk to me about what you’ve been doing for the past year?

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Indeed in Nov 2021
Interview
There are 3 interviews in the process.
1. Technical screening: 30 minutes was a business section and 30 minutes for a coding question.
2. 4 (45 min) interviews lined up: One was a business interview, another product (which was a open ended question), and two more coding. Everybody was friendly.
3. Project deep dive with hiring manager: Talking about a project you worked on of your choice.
The process is very very slow and they don't give you feedback. I asked at the end of the technical screening if I did ok and he refused to tell me. After I finished the project deep dive interview with the hiring manager I received a rejection email with zero explanation! I emailed my recruiter trying to get some feedback or something but crickets.
Hi there! Thank you for leaving us a review. At Indeed, we are excited to hire talented, passionate and driven individuals.
