The interview process included an initial online screening followed by a formal panel interview. The first stage focused on my background, qualifications, and general fit for the role. The second stage involved more detailed questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Indeed (New York, NY) in Mar 2025
Interview
Applied on indeed.com, the posting was only up for a week. I got an invite to speak with a recruiter like 2 weeks later. The hiring range was on the low side and capped at what I ended with at my previous job at. I did ask for that amount initially but went down because you can tell they did not want to pay anyone that amount. She then sent me a hackerank, which was all subjective questions. I answered them all (test was easy)- I know I did TOO much and probably showed how advanced my skills were. I submitted and few days later I got a canned rejection from indeed recruitment. I
Very unprofessional, they rescheduled 3 times and then just followed a script of questions. The script was uninteresting and soured me further on the whole position. Interviewer seemed like they didn't like their job much.
