Disrespectful and Unprofessional Interview Experience
I recently went through a prolonged and disappointing interview process with IBM for a position in their Costa Rica office, and the experience left me utterly disillusioned with their professionalism and courtesy. After enduring not one, not two, but four rounds of interviews, investing considerable time and effort into showcasing my qualifications and enthusiasm for the role, I was met with complete silence.
It's one thing to be informed that you didn't get the position; it's another to be blatantly disregarded after such a substantial investment of time and energy. The lack of basic decency and respect for candidates is appalling and speaks volumes about the company's disregard for common courtesy.
Moreover, the interviews themselves were disorganized and lacked clear communication. It became apparent that IMB didn't value my time or efforts, evident from the repetitive questioning and lack of follow-up from their end.
For example, often interviewers asked the same questions from other interviews or did not know what the position involved, also I got a lot of questions that involved knowledge of totally different positions, it was like applying for a chef job and they asked if you knew how to fix the roof.
I would strongly caution any job seeker considering IBM to think twice before investing their time in an organization that demonstrates such blatant disregard for candidates and a total disorganized interviewing process. Respect is a fundamental aspect of any professional interaction, and IMB has shown itself to be sorely lacking in this regard.
In conclusion, my experience with IBM was nothing short of disappointing and disrespectful. I hope they take this feedback constructively and make significant improvements to their hiring process and overall professionalism in the future.
