I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Glassdoor (Sausalito, CA) in Apr 2013
Interview
The interview process was extensive yet efficient. They asked some fun questions (if you had 3 items to bring on an island, what would they be) as well as some typical interview questions (name 3 weaknesses, 3 strengths). As long as you are bright/smart and extremely motivated, you should do well. They are aggressively hiring but they pick and choose very carefully who they want- they want people in it for the long run!

Question 1
What are 3 items you'd bring if you were stranded on an island?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Glassdoor
Interview
The interview process was great. I had a phone interview then two assessments. The written assessment wasn't too bad, it put you through a few scenarios to see how you would interact with clients. The second assessment was the ProfileXT... if you like brain teasers, then you'll like this test.
After another in-person interview and then a final round of interviews with executives, they sent me an offer. I gladly accepted. All the people I met during my interview process were all so nice and smart. Glassdoor truly does a great job not only hiring intelligent people, but well-rounded employees that match their culture perfectly. Can't wait to start.

Question 1
I wasn't asked too many difficult questions. I will say though that the ProfileXT assessment was a real curve ball. I understand why they use it, but it does really make you nervous.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Glassdoor (Sausalito, CA)
Interview
Initially, the interview process was very similar to most other mid-level Sales Account Executive positions.
- 30 minute phone screen with a Sales Manager: introducing yourself and going over your resume and professional background
- Face-to-Face meeting with a Sales Manager: a more personal level diving deeper into your resume, filtering through your past sales experience, core competencies, understanding of the company and what you can bring of value to the sales organization
- Office Shadow: one-on-one meeting with a tenured senior account executive (why are leaving your current employer? why glassdoor?), and most importantly selling yourself, sales cycle and presentation skills to the big dogs!
If you successfully prove your a fit and solution for the role, expect an offer upon this breakdown.
A meeting with a particular Senior Level Sales Manager was eventually one of the main reasons why I accepted the offer. She structured the meeting more comfortably and different than I have ever experienced. It was unique and was set around throwing the stereo-typical "sales he/she-said mambo-jumbo" out the window.

If you were stuck on a deserted island and you were able to have 3 items, what 3 items would you select?
