I applied online. I interviewed at Expedia Group (Seattle, WA) in Sep 2020
Interview
Recruiter didn't ask me anything about myself. He just said that he wouldn't have called me if he didn't think I could do the job. Started our conversation with, "What questions do you have for me?". It was so thrown, considering my experience didn't necessarily align with the role.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Expedia Group in Aug 2020
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter shortly after I applied online. I had a 30 min phone screen with the recruiter which was pretty standard. He told me that if he was contacting me he already knew I was qualified and would be moving on to the next step but he wanted to get some basic info (salary requirements, relocation, etc). A few days after our conversation he reached out via email to set up a phone interview with the hiring manager. I spoke to her for 30 mins about a week later. She asked about my current role, general product management questions, examples of successes, favorite projects, etc. We had a great chat and I thought the conversation went really well. Then I never heard from anyone at the company again. Not even a “We’re sorry” email. Totally unprofessional.
