Interview
Contacted by a recruiter of recruiting firm and forwarded my resume.Recruiter scheduled an online exam which you can complete from home. The online exam was about core JAVA and J2EE.The online exam was very easy.I did well. However the recruiter never shared results.
Anyway after the online exam I was scheduled for an in person onsite interview that consisted of 2 rounds of interview with 2 people in the panel.1 technical round and 1 managerial round.Very easy interview.Talked about previous project and 1 simple design question. No specific java questions as such.

Interview
From such a big company, I was expecting a long interview process, with multiple touch points and multiple individuals. I had one call with the VP of the business (new product, new team was just forming) for a half an hour. At the end of the call, I was asked if I wanted to come in for a face to face.
A week later, on a Friday at 4pm, I walked in and had another half an hour with the same VP, then another half an hour with the next in command, the director of marketing and analytics. Three days later I got a call from HR with an offer. It was the easiest, simplest interview I have been through. Ever.
After 2 years, I am still very happy with the team and the company.

Question 1
There were two positions, very similar, that needed to be filled. One was to Marketing Analytics and the other for Operations Analytics. I was asked where I think I would fit better. With no previous experience in the industry, and limited information I weighted my potential contribution to each area.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Discover
