As Türkiye advances high speed rail, modernisation of conventional lines and new urban mobility systems, robust system engineering and assurance frameworks remain essential to achieving safety, interoperability and regulatory compliance. Within this evolving landscape, we delivered dedicated technical workshops to Altyapı Yatırımları Genel Müdürlüğü in Ankara and Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devlet Demiryolları (TCDD) in Istanbul, strengthening collaboration on major national rail development programmes. Over two intensive sessions, our team shared structured insights into system engineering methodologies, TSI compliance, CSM risk evaluation and the integration of assurance frameworks across complex railway and metro projects. These workshops reflect the combined strengths of our global railway expertise and our local presence in Türkiye. #GrowWithRINA
Sectors operating in increasingly complex ecosystems need monitoring solutions that provide reliable, scalable and independently verified insights. Traditional approaches based on self‑reporting or periodic inspections are no longer sufficient when assessing environmental and infrastructure performance across large areas. Through a new technical partnership, we are working with Space4Good to integrate satellite‑based monitoring capabilities with our technical expertise to enhance independent verification activities. Initial areas of collaboration include infrastructure monitoring, environmental verification such as deforestation and land‑use change assessment, and validation services for satellite‑derived datasets in areas including biofuels and carbon credits. This partnership enhances our engagement with stakeholders in Brazil and opens new opportunities across Europe, Latin America and Southeast Asia, reinforcing our shared commitment to reliable, data‑driven and scalable solutions for a more transparent and sustainable future. #GrowWithRINA
We’re proud to celebrate a milestone in materials testing at our CSM laboratories: an IN718 specimen with a modified heat treatment has reached 200,000 hours of creep testing, setting a company record. A creep test measures how a material deforms under constant stress at high temperature over time - critical for ensuring reliability in extreme operating conditions. Our test began in 2002 under the Thermie European Project, aimed at improving the creep behaviour of alloys for components in Advanced Ultrasupercritical power plants. The record-breaking specimen, together with others previously tested, confirms that an increase of 50°C in service temperature is possible using the modified heat treatment developed during the project. When the Thermie Project ended, we chose not to stop the test - and we celebrate the results of that decision. A special thanks to our Mechanical and Creep Laboratory team in Castel Romano (Italy) who contributed to this remarkable achievement.
We recently certified Petrobras’ Duque de Caxias Refinery (REDUC) under the ISCC CORSIA standard for the coprocessing of refined vegetable oils to produce Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). A major milestone for sustainable aviation and for Brazil’s energy transition. Recognised by the International Civil Aviation Organization, this certification confirms full compliance with international sustainability requirements, including feedstock traceability, robust mass balance control, and verified greenhouse gas emissions calculations. With this achievement, REDUC is officially recognised as a certified coprocessing plant, enabling Petrobras to produce SAF eligible for the global aviation market and positioning the company as the first CORSIA-certified SAF producer in Latin America. Beyond the certification itself, this project demonstrates how existing refining assets can be adapted to deliver low-carbon fuels, accelerating the decarbonisation of international aviation. The energy transition requires decision makers to balance the industrial outcomes that drive modern life with the energy systems that enable them, along with evolving sustainability priorities. This is the focus of The Energy Equation, the theme of Baker Hughes Annual Meeting held in Florence, Italy. Our collaboration with Baker Hughes has progressively expanded across different domains. Alongside our collaboration on hydrogen - with a specific focus on turbine marinization, digital sustainability services, and joint training initiatives - we have also formalized a second agreement on methane emission management and decarbonization. Together, we have created a structured framework that brings together our knowledge with Baker Hughes’ technology and execution capabilities to support new approaches across evolving energy and industrial contexts. Throughout the event, we contributed to the discussions by sharing our perspective on practical and scalable pathways to decarbonization and examining how technology, regulation, and operational expertise can support hard to abate sectors, such as marine. Thank you to Baker Hughes for the invitation and the opportunity to reinforce a collaboration grounded in technical competence and a shared commitment to shaping the next phase of the energy system. #GrowWithRINA #BHAM2026 #EnergyEquation

We presented Newlight with the Hydrogen Innovation Award during Marintec China, recognising their contribution to advancing cleaner and more efficient maritime propulsion. The award celebrates a hydrogen retrofit package that enables existing two‑ and four‑stroke main engines to operate on a blend of hydrogen and conventional fuel, improving efficiency and lowering emissions. The project demonstrates how existing diesel engines can operate on a controlled blend of hydrogen and conventional fuel, increasing efficiency and reducing emissions without requiring full engine replacement. Designed and built in line with the IGF Code and validated to our Class Rules for hydrogen-fuelled ships, the system underwent a Factory Acceptance Test that verified safety layers, control and monitoring logic, electrical integration, and engine behaviour under representative operating profiles. From dock to deep sea, performance was proven on a shore‑based genset and on a yacht during sea trials, demonstrating confident load tracking, precise hydrogen‑blend injection, continuous thermal and emissions monitoring, and seamless changeover between fuels with no downtime. In collaboration with lomarlabs, Lomar Shipping and AURELIA, the retrofit solution is now ready for installation on a commercial vessel, with interfaces set and layouts optimised according to class rules. A visionary yet practical approach to accelerating safe decarbonisation across the maritime industry. #GrowWithRINA
