I’ve worked for deVere for nearly 16 years and it has been so much more enjoyable than my 21 years working for a major UK bank. The company has found a way to make sure that everyone benefits from success, so that managers are not threatened by the success of members of their teams. Success is celebrated. Underperformance is addressed, but in a professional manner and it’s not the focus of the company, which had not been my previous experience. Everything is about our clients. I know that looking after the best financial interests of my client is absolutely expected. My clients seem to really appreciate this. Hard work is expected and rewarded. The people who are most successful are the ones who work hardest, take the exams, apply the training and commit to their clients in the long term. There is an abundance of training and they don’t hide what it takes to be successful. We share what works. I find management to be approachable and receptive to new ideas.
