Pros

great products, Older workers are knowledgeable but have all had enough and are leaving. I see very little pros for this company at this time.

Cons

Management is clueless. The place is shaped like an inverted pyramid. All chiefs no Indians. They keep laying off productive workers only to replace them with more middle managers. Morale is now non existent at this company. Management took a very good company and destroyed it in 5 years.

Pros

Overall it's gonna pay bills. Coworkers are generally very nice. They are the only reason the job has enjoyment. Many times discussions are, "what's happening to this place?".

Cons

Morale is very poor. Lots of people have recently left at their own will. I would like to follow them out the door and am actively looking for a new position. Some the recent departures were people with important responsibilities and some had high potential as future leaders. Perhaps it will all turn around and this will once again be a great company to work for.

Pros

Overall great colleagues at Xylem. Somehow the company manages to continually attract good, knowledgable people. The watermark (volunteerism) push is good.

Cons

Depending on the part of the business you are in, and your manager - you can encounter a very toxic work environment. Turnover in one group i was in was extremely high over a few years (60-70%) due to the stress of 'getting it done' while being chronically overstaffed. Several were fired for being hostile towards coworkers (particularly females). Negotiate a higher salary starting out - once you're in the company you're subject to 'standard' raises no matter how stellar your performance is.
