Pros

Xylem's a new company as a result of ITT spin off. The company will match 4% of the 401k retirement plan, basic healthcare plans are high deductible and pay is fair for unionized labor force. Organization has excellent knowledge and employees from ITT.

Cons

Consolidation of leadership positions results in disorganized organization. Healthcare plan does not allow spouse if they have access to insurance through their employer. Healthcare is comparable to other companies.

Pros

Collaborative team. Employees care about their work and strive to do the best that they can. Work is varied and challenging.

Cons

Senior Leadership Team lacks direction and is not transparent. The team does not seem to work well together (albeit rather lost of new members). Employees are no longer engaged and SLT does not seem to notice or care.

Beware Manufacturing Test Engineering

Pros

- There are many great teams and people here. - Work/life balance is good. - Exciting and leading edge technologies can be found in some parts of the company. - Opportunities to move internally. - I would recommend Sensus to a friend depending on the part of the company.

Cons

- Bullying, aggression, and a lack of common decency exist in some parts of the company. Unfortunately, many employees simply endure this. To be fair, other parts of the company do not have this problem. Be cautious of Manufacturing Test Engineering. - A lot of older/outdated technologies in some parts of the company. Other parts, however, are cutting edge. - Very "Siloed" and there is sometimes distrust between different functions of the company, often resulting in feelings of division and animosity that put a damper on one’s day. - No bonuses, slightly below-par raises year to year.
