Pros

Good Pay, Lots of communication. Good structure and leadership until they eliminated the specialty divisions.

Cons

The company got too focused on precise policy and details on how to treat employees. checklists and forms and all that. The restructure that emiminated the TLE Managers was ery unfair. It took many of us that spent massive amounts of time devouting our careers to our stores and either tossed us aside or put us in unfamiliar positions without help.

Pros

Not many other than it gives a good base for a young person to start off of, and the people you work with are great. Depending on how well the store does you get a special amount in your check sometimes reaching $400 in certain quarters, but sometimes you only get around $60. You get holiday if you have been there 90 days.

Cons

Management Plays favorites and sometimes it seems as if home office does not care about they're employees. They deny any request to have off on saturdays. They have a knack for screwing people out of their 40 hours. They don't do well notifying people when they are elegible for health insurance. If your store remodels walmart makes the employees pay for it out of their myshare. They don't do well when it comes to letting people have a flexible schedule. Sometimes you will find yourself doing things that are not in your job code. You work all holidays. Absoloutely no over time.

Pros

Great benefits, without the union. Health benefits are better than other places I've looked for employment. I can support my family without others in my household having to work. Great Stock options & 401k. Important insurance coverage provided, with more insurance available. Reasonable wages, without a cent going to unions who seem much more interested in shutting down Wal-Mart than making it a better place for employees. Generous bonuses, which one wouldn't/shouldn't expect. Pays for days in which you have jury duty, without taking them out of your personal time, or vacation time. Compensation for travel. Great people to work with, and satisfaction from a job well done.

Cons

Sometimes there are employees that get away with far too much. They should be fired, but Wal-Mart has a very liberal policy that takes about three chances (or more) before a person is fried. It works for the honest, hard working employees who don't deserve to be fired- but for the slackers that think Wal-Mart owes them, it works out for them and puts a lot more stress and work load on the rest of us. Moving up in the company takes a lot of time, and sometimes you aren't certain how you can move up in the company. It would be nice to have a better idea.
