Pros

You have alot of opportunities. The way I always looked at it was where else can you start as a cashier at 19 and end up being an assistant manager at 25- with out finishing college. I started in 1996 making $4.75 an hour and was making $43,000 a year in 2008 when I quit.

Cons

They don't really care about you! In 2008, I was pregnant. I was about 14 weeks along and ended up with bronchitis. I went to the Dr. and he said he wanted me off for a week. I did all the paperwork to be out, however inventory happened to be during this time. My store manager made me call in everyday (even though that was not the policy for a medical leave of absence). Every morning that I called he asked when I was coming back to work and I needed to be there for inventory. I ended up going back to work earlier than my paperwork stated and I held on to the bronchitis for a total of 6 weeks! I was so aggrevated by the situation that I had a hard time getting my love back for the company. My baby was everything to me!

Pros

Very good place to work if individual who has no education. Steady consist pay raises. Nice yearly bonus. Excellent work scheduling.

Cons

Pay brackets are bad. You will either receive a (50, 40, 0 cent raiser per year) typically an exceptional worker will get 50 cent raise and a complete slacker will get a 40 cent. Unless your a cashier you will always get 50 cents. No incentive for good employees to stay with the company unless they've been sucked in. Good incentive for horrible employees to stay.
