Pros

I work here for the free gym membership.

Cons

We get paid the same as the cleaners even though you need £1500 worth of qualifications to be a Fitness Coach - paid below the London minimum wage. One staff member on the gym floor at a time, radio is always broken and there are always fights breaking out on the gym floor so I feel very unsafe. No help from Service Managers when putting the weights away even though some of the weights weigh as much as I do. Expected to come in for training on our days off- UNPAID! If we refuse we get written warnings. Our gym alone made four million pound profit this year and they can't even pay us when we have to come in for mandatory training, it's disgusting!

Pros

The people are fantastic - very friendly and helpful, and it's easy to develop good working relationships with people.

Cons

Management is abysmal - very cliquey and heavily male focused. Unless you are the right type of person, you have your work cut out for you in terms of development.

Pros

I really love the responsibility as a membership service manager and feel like it co-insides with my university studies at the same time. It is constantly challenging me and builds up my skill set administratively and also personably. Overall the atmosphere is great and what the brand stands for relate to my personal life.

Cons

Being the only person in my team it can become challenging and for me to progress easier I must train a lot of the people in the building. I find it hard to find time to be able to deliver training for everyone and also meet all my deadlines.
