My experience working for Virgin Active South Africa has been overwhelmingly negative. Salary and Benefits: The salary is simply unlivable, especially considering the cost of living. It’s disappointing to work long hours for compensation that doesn’t match the level of effort and dedication required. There’s no clear path for salary improvement, making it feel as though hard work isn’t valued. Head Office Support: The treatment from head office has been disheartening. There’s little to no support for staff, and requests for assistance are often dismissed or ignored. Unfortunately, the management team at head office comes across as arrogant and detached, with little understanding or concern for the challenges we face on the ground. Workload and Expectations: The expectations are unreasonable for the compensation provided. The demands placed on staff are high, yet the resources and support to meet these expectations are lacking.
