Pros

Fast growth Engaged Employees Opportunities to work on a variety of projects Bold leadership

Cons

The open office style is pretty annoying to me. Downsides depend on your title/office, but there aren't any major ones.

Excellent advice for a growing company. I'll pass on the note about office environment to the Places team. Growth can mean lots of moves and tight quarters -- hopefully some of this will be solved with Oakland and Mission Bay offices. On the mentorship note, we've just rolled out more in depth feedback surveys for managers and are building out employee development content. Thanks!

Pros

Incredibly intelligent co-workers, huge problems you get your hands dirty with from day 0, exciting company that makes headlines everyday, opportunities for global impact, great location in downtown SF and with offices around the world (travel opportunities!)

Cons

Long hours, sometimes stressful environment. But this is somewhat implied if you want to make a difference

Pros

- very intelligent, very motivated co-workers - inspiring mission to transform transportation - interesting engineering challenges - fast moving, everybody has freedom and flexibility

Cons

- people work long hours - won't be getting much equity at this point... - dinner is served real late - company doesn't have a great public image

Thanks for the note. I just recently learned why dinner is served later in the evening. Many companies in the Bay Area provide lunch but not many do dinner as well. Uber doesn't want to have dinner be seen as an entitlement or "requirement" to attend. If you're working hard and late, they want to be sure you're fed. There's no expectation that everyone should be here for dinner, but it's nice to know it's there when you need it. Keep up the hard work, thanks for the honest review.
