Pros

Job security, strong brand, community image.

Cons

Operators run the company, who have no knowledge of sales/growth. Very old school policies and personnel that work at UPS from 18 yrs until retirement. Usually old, bitter, and just looking forward to retirement. Operators, who drove UPS vehicles for a number of years tell the sales people what to do and how to do it. Then expect to then receive reports as to status of business growth. Sales people are on the bottom of the food chain and have a very steep, slippy slope to climb up the company ranks. Do not trust that future advancement will be available in the near future even for someone with exceptional sales results and MBA.
