* They can offer attractive looking compensation for the right fit. * There are some quality people on UBS team * Powerpoint ninjas and impressive talkers rule the place

Cons

* IB and Wealth Management appear to be doing ok. Asset Mgmt is under pressure with no coherent strategy * Quality of systems & IT is very weak -- among the weakest in large banks. Not enough thought is spent on design. Help-desk is not helpful. * Benefits are quite weak for a large company. In certain divisions, you'll have to move your accounts to UBS. That can amount to a meaningful financial penalty. Consider with overall offer (get it in writing) * Some in middle management were asking staff to give them good ratings on anonymous surveys

Good salary and benefits, brand name, working in a big bank

Cons

Work is repetitive, no clear direction for off-shore, bad management, same "executives" keep moving from one company to the other inside Wroclaw - even if they are extremely unprofessional and incompetent

Good reputation as a top European equity research house. A solid old brand.

Cons

Significantly underpaid than industry average. Salary freeze has been in place for a few years. Juniors are always the first to cut in the case of 'cost cutting'. Headcounts are manipulated by internal politics, in which cases headcount could be recreated shortly after the last redundancy.
