Pros

No questions asked unlimited paid sick leaves - [ However i guess this will soon be revoked as they've recruited people from almost everywhere who do not align with TWKS values and are misusing this. I GUESS THIS IS THE PRICE OF HIRING MEDIOCRE TALENT]

Cons

No hikes since before the war began in Ukraine Dry promotions HRs provide false promises and then a few weeks later these HRs leave the organization themselves Mediocre talent recruitment Good talent existing inside the org are leaving the org after being here for 10+ years They ask you to take fewer leaves on December to increase revenue. Shares are nose diving at nasdaq, 90% down from the time they were vested. They preach a lot, a lot of Senior Devs have time to give non dev talks about society. For a company bleeding money, maybe stop preaching ans start earning , getting good clients that pay the bills on time. They (like all other companies] are nore interested in on boarding newer mediocre people than trtaining their superb existing talent (who are asking for fewer rupees] .

Pivotal Moment, Outcome Uncertain

Pros

Really intelligent, talented, kind and diverse people to work with who all care a lot about the company. Usually very flexible working arrangements (both location and schedule). A lot of stretch opportunities to build your skills and resume.

Cons

For an organization that basically birthed agile development and prides itself upon excellent client transformational outcomes it is incredibly ironic that it has been unable to change and adapt to the challenges of becoming a public company and facing the current macro economic pressures. It is clear that the executives leading the company today, while they are undoubtedly amazing, dedicated and talented Thoughtworkers, are probably not fit for the purpose of running a public company. Many have been there for practically their entire careers, which is a great story until the business starts to fail due to their lack of expertise. There is a company wide restructuring initiative currently running, and not a single senior executive is being replaced (some are actually having their responsibilities expanded), despite the dismal lack of strategic execution over the past few years. Employees are regularly asking for more transparency into company strategy during these uncertain times and executives are providing very little to go on, is this due to secrecy or do they just not have a clue how to handle this stage of the company's journey? This is concerning as both an employee and as an equity holder. The company culture has become watered down, and is more of a nod to the good old days at this point. Operational challenges abound, and there is no strategy or investment to correct the internal flaws that make sales and revenue generation so difficult. In my opinion it is 50/50 as to whether this formerly iconic organization is going to be able to turn it around to survive. Don't get me wrong, this is not a bad company to work for, and on a day to day basis the pros usually outweigh the cons, it is just terribly fragile and uncertain right now and the work atmosphere is very reflective of this.
