Good work life balance

Pros

1. Work life balance is pretty good. No one will ask you to work after 5 or 6 in the evening and no one gonna question you even if you login at 11AM. 2. You will have the opportunity to explore new things and stuff. But we need to make sure we ask our managers. Unless we ask there is no way we gonna learn stuff. 3. Managers are friendly.

Cons

1. Growth is something we need to earn. Only if we can showcase our skills we will be paid better. Sometimes even if you work hard it's our responsibility to showcase the work that we have done. Else we will not be recognized by our managers though if we do some excellent stuff.

Pros

Interesting and engaging work, competitive environment, skill is rewarded

Cons

You must network and play the "game". Very clique based and you need your current leader's approval to move to a new role, which can hold you back when a leader does not want to lose you from your current role.

Pros

- high $ responsibility - social, progressive culture if you’re into that (although POC have historically high turnover rates) - lots of verbal recognition if you have the right manager/BU - autonomy to own your schedule - fast paced environment and ability to drive actual strategy and change - business is doing great and fun to see growth

Cons

- pay is NOT competitive when compared to workload. For an entry level job, they will work you to death (although have heard they finally increased starting rate for new hires - currents IAs haven’t seen that) - all Target owned systems, so hard to transfer those skills to other jobs - no supply chain understanding from merch/planning and a bad BU can make your life miserable - covid/supply chain delays have IAs working completely outside their job descriptions with no additional compensation or recognition - path to promotion is horrible: IAs are getting stuck in role for 3+ years when this is advertised as a 1.5-2 year role.
