DISCLAIMER: I read the warnings before applying to this job at Target and I applied anyway because some people over-exaggerate when it comes to working with a corporate company. However, that is not the case with Target. Listen to the warning signs. If you decide to work for Target, it's on you. -If you’re being harassed, Integrity Hotline is a joke. One of our co-workers was Physically assaulted by a TEAM LEADER and Headquarters did nothing about it. Our Team Leader got a slap on the wrist and a warning like many times before, but still has a job. Physical Assault is illegal in any work place. Any kind of harassment is illegal and this Team Leader does literally almost every kind of harassment in the book. Contacting Integrity, they assured my case will go directly to corporate. A few days later Corporate calls me directly saying that they will talk to my store location and they will call me back after they do so. When I came to work after calling the Hotline I was accused of starting drama for reporting physical and verbal harassment, neglect of duties, and false threats from a single person. I was called harsh names behind my back and exiled to different parts of the store so nobody dealt with me. The ETLS were rude and dismissive instead of supportive. How backwards is that? The Team Leader was spoken to by HR and basically just got a slap on the wrist. Corporate NEVER called me back even though I was told I would hear back from them, and the whole thing was swept under the rug. This is what Target is really about. -DO NOT TRUST TARGET. It may seem like a great place to work at first, because of the front they put on at the orientation they have for on-coming employees. The orientation spits out that working at Target will be great. The orientation shares that people we’ll work with at Target, we can trust because they're like a family. We're told that we'll actually like coming into work here at Target, unlike our old jobs where we dreaded coming in everyday. Why would Target lie? if a company is gonna say things like that, they better own up to them except they didn’t. What we got in return was a whole list of harassment cases and nothing was done about the,. If you desperately need a job I would recommend working with any other corporate company besides Target. A company that doesn’t value their employees safety is not a company anyone should work for.
