Pros

Excellent company reputation, top 2 in retail, top in retail advertising/marketing. I enjoy the downtown location. I've learned so much about what marketing/branding really means versus in a college class, much less in marketing departments at other corporations.

Cons

Compensation plans just aren't up to geographic area...because they're Target and can get away with it. There's too much of a ground swell of middle-management right now. Some trimming of the fat would be beneficial..

Target pays competitively in the retail industry. They truly live up to their fast, fun, and friendly workplace. It is a great place to work, and they reward hard work with promotions and compensation. Target focuses on teamwork and on direct feedback. Target offers a great work life balance.

Cons

Target is more focused on time in position than performance in some cases. Minneapolis is not an ideal location.

Pros

The atmosphere is great, I get along with my coworkers and I enjoy my time at work. The benefits are just what I need at this point in my life. I have received several promotions in a short time that have added to my satisfaction within the company. The salary leaves something to be desired for me, but I believe that it is competitive. I simply have higher expectations for myself. Overall, Target is a very feedback based community and it is enjoyable being around so many people that you can learn so much from. Target has been a great place to get started in my career.

Cons

There is not much feedback from upper management until something is just about to roll out. It's a lot of wait and see.
