A good company with great people but often too large to move quickly

Industry leader, Innovative, Great employees, exceptional senior management, wide variety of products and services focused around electricity in some way shape or form. With the old brands of Square D, Telemecanique, Merlin Gerin, and the acquisitions of APC, TAC, Juno, and PELCO Schneider can effectively provide the entire infrastructure for a new facility, from electrical, security, building automation, and lighting/controls.

Cons

Through the last decade Schneider Electric in the U.S. was "right sized" many times, stretching their workforce thinner and thinner. The company in many locations is doing multiple times the amount of business than they were ten years ago, with half or even a fourth of the staff they had 10 years ago. The overall morale of the employees has suffered and great talent has been lost to better opportunities.

Good work life balance Helping among all the people Caring is at most Management is quite responsive to all the employee levels HR is great

Cons

Not an IT firm, so they wont concentrate on deploying modern technologies. Its an Product company, so many old products are still maintained. Not much new rigorous innovation goes on in software development. After Schneider Electric bought Conzerv, the much of previous process there is corrupted.

Pros

The general atmosphere is good and overall my fellow employees are very good to work with: friendly, competent, hard working... With so many different types of business, there is a lot of room to change if you have an interest in a different type of job.

Cons

Not always the best communication from management. Sometimes feel as though you might get lost in the cogs that make up a big company like Schneider Electric.
